Dr. William H. Heinrich has written a well-documented expose of the progression of anti-Semitism throughout history. No history course would be sufficient without In the Shame of Jesus:The Hidden Story of Church-Sponsored Anti-Semitism on the required reading list. His original work was published in 2008, and JHousePublishing presents this memorial edition, republished in 2016 with a new cover, enhanced layout, and a Foreword by John B. Metzger of Promises to Israel and Ariel Ministries. Dr. Heinrich went in depth to show the cultural hold that anti-Semitism has gained from within the Christian Church itself, as well as from within Western culture, which is undeniable though shocking. He provides insight on the most recent rise in other forms of anti-Semitism and provides ideas on how Christians may respond to what is in God's eyes a great tragedy and failing to understand His Word and heart.

Most Christians today have only a vague knowledge of the history of the Church, especially regarding the relationship between the Church and the Jewish people. However one cannot understand the present (and the prophetic future) without knowledge of the past. While the realization may be shocking, for two thousand years the Church has led the way in promoting anti-Semitism toward the Jewish people. During this path, teachers have opposed or forgotten the words of the Apostle Paul concerning the Jewish people where he reminded them of God's plan for His Church. In Ephesians 2:14-18, the Apostle stated that Jesus is our peace, "who has made the two (Jews and Gentiles) one and has destroyed the barrier," that divided them. "His purpose was to create in Himself one new man out of the two" that "through him we both (Jews and Gentiles) have access to the Father by one Spirit." Rather than being compassionate and uniting with the Jewish people, the Church has usually fought against them in the name, or shame, of Jesus. This book presents hidden truths that have been long ignored and calls all true Christians to pray and act. Understanding these truths will enable the reader to understand why Jewish people have been historically opposed to evangelism and Christian aid. It will also reveal why support for the Jewish people and survival of the State of Israel is not only critical, but is also a biblical imperative. Today Christians must support the biblical view concerning both the Jewish people and the State of Israel for one simple reason - to be in line with God's prophetic plan as outlined in both Testaments as we see His End Time events unfold.
